OSPREY FC20-X
Bi-Amp 3-way | Fixed Curvature Array
Osprey is a vertical array system designed for ultimate fidelity at high output levels. Between three cabinet types, a wide variety of array types can be built, covering virtually every near and mid-field listening area. With the simple and flexible rigging system, the array can be both flown and groundstacked using the same header bar system, all connected using captive quick release pins.
Osprey FC20-X has 20 degrees of vertical coverage, which matches the cabinet design for seamless arraying. The FC20-X is fitted with 4x Air Motion Transducers in 80 degree (horizontal) waveguides, 4x high sensitivity dedicated midrange drivers and 2x bass reflex loaded 12” drivers, giving wide band frequency coverage which is essential for situations where the array may be several meters from your system’s subwoofers.
Air Motion Transformers use extremely lightweight diaphragms to produce clear and undistorted high frequencies for studio level resolution. In this configuration the tall, slim diaphragms of the AMTs mean that the total radiating surface area of the HF section stretches from the very bottom of the cabinet to the very top, which reduces lobing in the high frequencies and ensures seamless front to back coverage of the crowd.
A carefully designed passive crossover between the mid and high frequency sections mean the FC20-X is a bi-amped loudspeaker, reducing amplifier channel count and setup complexity.
Each FC20-X is fitted with a 2mm steel grill, and finished with a black PU coating for protection against knocks and scratches. The cabinet is built from sustainably sourced high grade Birch plywood, and the internal damping material is made from recycled single use plastic. Two handles are provided on each side for easy handling and system assembly.
