David Vukovich - Chief Operating Officer

Music is more than just sound. It’s an emotion. It’s the rush of a live performance. The bond with friends over shared moments. The pure joy of your favourite tracks. The right sound system brings that emotion to life.
At Traction Sound, we believe in the power of music to connect us. That’s why we craft every system to deliver sound that’s as pure and uncompromising as the music itself.
Designed and built in the UK with only the finest materials, our systems set a new standard for performance and value. From intimate spaces to the world’s biggest venues, our Hawk, Harrier, Osprey, Raptor, and HD series are engineered to meet the unique demands of each environment—ensuring that you hear the music exactly as the artist intended.
With proprietary SDS (Soft Dome Source) and AMT (Air Motion Transducers) drivers, Traction Sound takes clarity, resolution, and detail to the next level. Ultra-low distortion, high fidelity, and effortless listening mean you can immerse yourself in music for hours—without ever losing the emotion behind the sound.

Maxim Vuolo - Product Manager

At Traction Sound, we focus on minimising distortion across the audio spectrum by optimising complete systems, ensuring all components work together without overstressing any individual part. Traction Sound systems are designed to maintain the highest possible fidelity and intelligibility regardless of volume level or environment.
Beyond sonic fidelity, we engineer our products for ease of deployment and configuration with dedicated amplifiers and DSP. Optimised DSP presets for each product enable consistent and repeatable results with long-term reliability. User friendly hardware makes the deployment and installation of Traction products reliable, safe and discreet.
Our efficient engineering, sourcing and production processes make high-end performance more accessible, delivering a truly engaging and emotive experience to a wider audience.
How do we minimise distortion?
Distortion can occur at every point in a sound system, from the microphone used to record an instrument in a studio, to the air in the ear canal of each audience member. We cannot therefore claim to completely remove all distortion, but we can do everything we can to minimise wherever possible, and to carefully design our products to reduce the negative impacts of unavoidable sources of distortion.
We start by only considering the highest quality components for us in our products, which is verified through extensive testing and measurement taking. The crucial next step to this is identify the performance limits for a component, and not push it beyond them. A transducer that may perform exceptionally well at low to mid volume levels is likely to not perform anywhere near as well at very high levels, and so it should not be required to do so. We rigorously simulate and test every component, including crossover parts, horns, waveguides and cabinets making use of the latest FEM and BEM computer simulation technologies.
We then go on to consider the partnering products and electronics, to ensure that no one product will be a weak link in its system. DSP processors, filters, amplifiers and even cables are carefully chosen to provide the best performance possible for the intended use.
SDS (Soft Dome Source)

Soft dome tweeters make use of small, lightweight textile diaphragms to reproduce mid and high frequencies in an extremely detailed and intimate way, unlike any other transducer type. By partnering the highest quality soft dome tweeters with a range of proprietary waveguides, we can make this performance available to larger audiences and at higher volume levels than would otherwise be possible.
AMT (Air Motion Transducers)

AMTs take the performance of highly revered planar and ribbon tweeters from the HiFi and studio monitor industries to a new level. The combination of a lightweight diaphragm with high surface area and a powerful motor leads to very detailed and accurate sound delivered with much greater efficiency and at higher maximum sound pressure levels.
Compression Drivers

Compression drivers use stiff diagrams and very powerful motors to force air through a small aperture, resulting in very high sensitivity and great flexibility when it comes to pairing with acoustic horns. We reserve these for only the highest output applications where factors such as challenging environmental conditions and durability are equally important to sound quality. Compression drivers allow us to deliver high sound quality to larger audiences at greater distances, without over-stressing the transducers. Our compression drivers use only the highest quality components, making use of proprietary diaphragm materials and FEM/BEM optimised motor and phase plug structures.
